As a refugee from the former Soviet Union, I went into law to be an advocate/voice to those that have none. This work is hard and waking up daily knowing that people are hurting has been challenging and devastating. How do you stay connected to the Jewish community? I have been very disappointed in the mainstream Jewish community and the silence regarding many atrocities happening in the world. They taught me that hard work provides opportunities.
